Woman killed in Elyria. husband held on murder charge
Margaret Bryant, 44, of 229 Lodi St Elyria, died after emergency surgery at Elyria Memorial Hospital. Her husband, Lorenzo Bryant 46, was charged with second degree murder and jailed after police found a .22 revolver on him. The shooting occurred in the Lodi Street home as officers pursued Bryant. She moved from Tennessee three years ago and is survived by children and relatives. Funeral arrangements are set at Carter Funeral Home in Lorain.

Rail shutdown could halt Lorain county industry

The plant relies on rail for about 60 percent of its parts and warned that sub assembly deliveries would stop if Penn Central and Norfolk & Western halt service. U.S. Steel Lorain Works Harshaw Chemical and Fisher Body Elyria plants are also cited as affected along with many smaller firms.

Nine Die in Fiery Head-On Crash Near Henderson
