Knits can cause tension jams and skipped stitches on some machines due to higher yarn density and fabric give. Modern machines offer stretch stitches overlocks and blind hems for knits. regular cleaning and light oiling reduce lint build up in the bobbin area while running the machine helps distribute oil.
Knits require compatible needles and adjusted tension for fabric weight. Use size 9 11 for fine knits and 14 80 for double knits. 16 90 for power net and heavy knits. Check needle condition, avoid bent or blunt needles, and balance tension.
