Lorain County planners seek dues raise amid tight finances
The Lorain County Regional Planning Commission faces a shrinking budget and seeks higher dues from most counties subdivisions. Elyria agrees to raise its annual dues from 9,616.86 to 13,356.75, a per capita rise from 18 to 25 cents based on the 1970 census. The commission, short two planners and a secretary, still handles more county work, funded partly by NOACA reimbursements. Other actions included road vacations for River side Court and Bon Air Avenue to provide parking, and a rezoning denial for 0.77 acre on Abbe Road for elderly apartments due to proximity to Ohio Metallurgical Services.
