Avon dentist leads annual food drive for hungry neighbors
Dr. Tom Hughes of Avon Dental Care organized a holiday food drive for Second Harvest, collecting 805 pounds of nonperishable goods this season, the largest workplace total the charity has received. The effort began in 2007, expanding from 400 pounds to 600 pounds, with patients delivering items such as peanut butter and canned tuna.
