Natchez police say Erica Marie Jones 20 rolled back prices on about 550 in merchandise at a Wal Mart. Jones was arrested Thursday and charged with theft along with 22 year old customer Tiffany identified by police.
An 11 year old girl was run over by a train east of Houston in Harris County. Sheriff Lt John Legg said children on or near the tracks grabbed the side of a slo and the accident severed her leg. The case remains under investigation with authorities reviewing witnesses and scene details.
Three state highway workers cleaning up litter in COMFORT Indiana found about $100,000 inside an abandoned tire and bag. Indiana State Police suspect the denominations from five to one hundred dollars may be drug money. A drug sniffing dog detected the scent on the bills. Police said the workers reported the discovery.
A $100000 tire from a large truck was discovered Friday in a ditch just east of Indianapolis on Interstate 70. Police are unsure how long it had been there. Detective Sgt. Keith ODonnell commended workers for their honesty and professionalism in notifying authorities.
