Police union sues over high mileage cruisers in Lorain
The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 3 filed a grievance claiming Lorain police cars with over 100000 miles violate the contract for safe working conditions. Union leaders say 13 vehicles exceed the limit, most are 2008 models, with one at 125000 miles. Mayor Ritenauer mentions bond funding or financing new cars as options.
