Girl critically hurt in multi-vehicle crash at city intersection

A six vehicle crash at Route 57 and Cleveland Street left a 6-year-old girl in extreme critical condition. An adult female was transported to Elyria Medical Center then MetroHealth in Cleveland. Two other victims had non-life threatening injuries. A diesel spill occurred from a broken non‑commercial fuel container. Oil Drn was used to clean the street. Witnesses Mikayla Keating and Philip McCall reported hearing tires squeal.

Pink Floyd Rock At Casade Park Remains Unchanged

For 40 years the rock at Casade Park in Elyria has honored Pink Floyd with the message largely intact. The mural includes The Wall imagery and graffiti like Jesus Saves though the rock is on private property and the park district cannot remove or alter it.

Officer Jesse Perkins honored for compassion

Lorain officer Jesse Perkins received recognition after responding to a hospital room commotion involving 10 year old Josue Massas who has battled neuroblastoma since age four. The boy's condition has included tumors in his knees elbows spine liver and lungs.
