Gannett agrees to pay 550000 to settle suit

Gannett will pay 550000 to settle a lawsuit filed by former Cincinnati Enquirer editor Lawrence Beaupre. The case stemmed from 1998 reports critical of Chiquita Brands International. Beaupre drops all allegations in exchange for a 200000 severance and 350000 in legal fees.
