New London Fire Dept Moves to New Station
The New London Fire Department relocated on January 16 to a 7,500 square foot former White Screw Products building at Prospect Street and Energy Place, three times larger than the old station. Chief John Chapin notes space for up to three trucks, a conference room, and offices, with 23 volunteers serving a 62.5 square mile area including New London, Fitchville, and half of Clarksfield Township. The old South Main Street station remains village property awaiting future plans.
