Hammer attack leaves woman dead after eight to ten blows

Anne Scott, 69, was struck eight to ten times with a claw hammer in Elyria Michigan Avenue home. Her husband Cleveland Scott, 70, confessed at the scene and was arrested as she died after being hospitalized. He faces aggravated murder charges and is jailed on a $1 million bond. Avon third I-90 lane likely to stay closed for years

Ohio jobless rate hits 29 year low in 1998
