Avon Lake Light Plan Aims to Make Town a Show

Avon Lake Mayor Garrison L Moore envisions the town as a show community with brighter street lighting. Jack Ross of Cleveland Electric Wumming Co discussed preliminary plans with the mayor, the municipal engineer, and a councilman, citing annual costs of about 22 000 for current lighting and 75 000 for full modernized lighting. The plan splits the town into four areas for minimum improvements and emphasizes lighting for commercial and residential zones, including Lake Rd from the Sheffield Lake line to the water works.
