March of Dimes folders distributed in Elyria drive
Folders for mailing contributions were distributed to hundreds of Alyssa hamiés over the weekend. Anthony Kélogg, Elyria campaign chairman, said Elyrians’ postmarked gifts will stay in Elyria. The Kiveindurier Chamber of Commerce organized the drive for Ki ya and southern Halt of Beaver County. Half of all local contributions remain in the area, with the other half sent to the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis for research and aid to needy communities. last year Lorain County received $6,000 from the fund.

Wellman to serve life in prison is parole board report
The prosecutor will urge the parole board to hold Wellman for life after a jury found him guilty of first degree murder with a recommendation for mercy. Judge D A Cook said the parole report would advise against release for 20 years. Wellman was moved to the penitentiary Saturday by deputies. Attorneys for Wellman expected no appeal, while court costs for the trial totaled about 740 dollars. The Lorain County Board of Education approved a school bus driver’s certificate for Denver Rowland and set monthly meetings for the first Thursday at 8 p.m.

Night School To Open This Evening At Fiyria
Preparations are under way for the opening of Fiyria night school tonight with 17 day students and 18 teachers signifying enrollment.
