Farmer Confesses In Bank Robbery Near Sabina
In Wilmington Ohio a preliminary hearing was held for Howard Wells a 23 year old Lebanon farmer who allegedly confessed to being part of a trio that robbed the First National Bank at Sabina of 3500 dollars on Monday. Police say Wells named two accomplices as deputies hunted them. A look out named Harley Engels was arrested in Xenia on a traffic charge and not sent back to Wilmington. Part of the loot 572 dollars in currency and silver was found hidden at the farm home of George Bickelhamer near Lebanon where Wells sometimes stayed. Wells claimed the money was his share of the loot.

Insane Man Resists Officers At Cincinnati Courthouse
An insane man barricaded himself in a courthouse washroom and resisted officers for an hour before police pried the door open. James Monahan, 34, of San Francisco, was taken to a hospital for observation after the confrontation. He claimed he had recently died in a psychiatric hospital in Georgetown California.
