Couple Finishes 1986-Sq-Ft Log Home Built by Family
Belgium Wisconsin couple Bill and Kathy Mann completed a five story log home grown from 80 century old timbers over 17 years of learning and five years of hands on work. Their 1986 square foot dwelling near the Ozaukee Sheboygan County line reflects a 19th century look with hand fitted logs, tongue and groove interior, and a family built crew including Kathy’s mother and other relatives. They moved in last year after years in a garage and basement and held an open house for about 200 helpers and supporters. the project yielded a lasting home and memories for a couple who pursued a dream through persistence and community effort.
