Ford adds new line at Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake
Ford Motor Co plans to start producing the P558 Chassis Cab for F-350 F-450 and F-550 at the Ohio Assembly Plant. The UAW Local 2000 bulletin signed by Tim Rowe and Gary Polakowski notes details are pending and promises further information next week as management and union leaders finalize the plan. State Rep. Nathan Manning confirmed the bulletin and said the line will help absorb overflow from Ford's Kentucky plant.

Struck by car while sledding a third grader dies
North Ridgeville police report 9-year-old Drew Hayden died from injuries after being struck by a car while sledding Tuesday. The Harris Elementary student in Amherst passed away Friday at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. His parents Julie and Matt Hayden expressed thanks to the community and medical staff. The family said his organs will be donated to help others.

Former juvenile magistrate sentenced to eight years in prison
James Paterson, 49, former Lorain County Juvenile Court magistrate, received eight years and one month in federal prison for possessing and receiving child pornography. Authorities say he amassed over 90,000 images and 700 videos from 2010 to 2014 and used the screen name jimbo003. He admitted to the FBI he had a collection of abused children. his license was relinquished after an ethics probe. He faces five years of supervised release after prison.
