Taxes misdirected estate payment to Wellington Township
Wellington Township will return 153554.75 dollars of estate taxes erroneously sent August 2012 from the estate of Eloise Mohrman to Lorain County Auditor’s office for redistribution to Pittsfield and Danbury townships in Ottawa County. Assistant Prosecutor Gerald Innes doubts how the error occurred. Pittsfield Trustee Bud Mohrman notes the issue.

Ex Lorain official Gilchrist charged with drug trafficking
Former Lorain service director Robert Gilchrist, 44, indicted on marijuana possession and drug trafficking stemming from an October stop on Baumhart Road by Trooper Justin Lister. A USPS bag with three bags of marijuana and a fourth bag under the hood were found, with prosecutors saying the drugs were for sale. Gilchrist previously pleaded guilty to illegal voting in 2013, a charge later dropped after a diversion program. He now resides in Michigan.
