Burge faced charges over Whiteacre North ties
Lorain County Common Pleas Judge James Burge allegedly kept financial links to Whiteacre North Ltd after selling his stake in 2011. From late 2013 to early 2014 he wrote four checks totaling 6000 dollars from a personal account for operating expenses, with his name alone on the checks. He faces counts of falsification tampering with records and unlawful interest in a public contract and is suspended pending case. The documents note Whiteacre North owns 600 Broadway where many attorneys renting space before Burge.
