James F. Shebek Jr hosted a family dinner Jan 21 for his parents 50th wedding anniversary. The couple wed Jan 22 1929 in Wellsburg WV and later moved from Irwin PA to their current address in 1941. Both are retired and active in local organizations, with connections to St. Pauls United Church of Christ.
John and Mrs James Johnson Sr of 109 Portrait celebrate their 50th anniversary on December 30 with a surprise buffet hosted by children James Jr Julius Eddie Lee Rose Creola Elyria Ulysee Chicago Ili and Lillie M Kirk from Demopolis Alabama. The couple wed December 26 1928 in Jefferson Alabama. They are active in Jones Chapel AME Church and enjoy fishing hunting flowers and baking. They have 35 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren with guests from Demopolis Chicago Toledo and nearby communities.
