North Ridgeville sewer plan hearing set for Wednesday

North Ridgeville schedules a 7 30 p m public hearing on extending sewer lines into the southeast city. The Lear Nagle I 480 extension would run from Center Ridge Road behind Chicken Manor to Lear Nagle Road and up to I 480, ending at Cook Road near the county line. The plan would replace an inefficient Boulder Drive plant and enable industrial growth while lifting some tax burden from homeowners. Residents and developers like North Ridge Investment, Crystal Springs and Rim, Inc support the project, with landowner costs estimated at 20 per foot over 20 years. A new water tower on Root Road near Rt 10 is also planned to accompany increased capacity. The 12 acre parcel was donated by Car Eisel, with soccer and football fields likely on the balance. The project could boost commercial and industrial activity at the I 480 Rt 10 junction when Turnpike access expands.
