Miracle healer Sparks Tragedy At Charlotte Crusade
Minnie Brown, 65, of Concord, sought help at a New Year’s Day Angley miracle crusade at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte. After praying, she suffered a fatal heart attack, lay on the floor for about 20 minutes, and died at Presbyterian Hospital. Witnesses and officials described her collapse during the evangelist’s service while a bystander and staff gave conflicting accounts of care. Brown had a history of heart problems and several recent hospitalizations. Angley’s healing program is broadcast on about 100 stations worldwide.
