Police report the burglary of Wally Roe Electric Company on Second Street. Thieves entered through a basement basement window Wednesday night, ransacked the store and cafe, and stole 552 electric light bulbs and two flashlights.

Suitor shoots clerk then kills himself in Toledo store

State backs away from taking over Pleasant View sanatorium
Lorain county officials and State Welfare Director John McSweeney met in Columbus as prospects of the state assuming operation of the Pleasant View tuberculosis sanatorium on North Ridge road faded. Commissioner C. D. Murray said the welfare director would not assume operation this year due to insufficient state funds. The hospital costs Lorain County about $82,000 annually.
