Lorain county vo tech OKs 1.5 million general fund
Lorain County Joint Vocational School board adopted temporary operating appropriations through March totaling 1.573 million for the general fund plus 155000 for uniform supplies and 92500 for bond retirement. Special accounts for 1978 include adult education, home and community, math and reading improvement programs. The 1978 tax rate is 1.7 mills for current operations with 0.1 mill for bond retirement, totaling 1.8 mills. New hires include Michael Browns as occupational work experience instructor and Richard Bixby as industrial electricity instructor. six snow removal workers were hired. retirement of board clerk Helen Rice was accepted. Open house set for Feb. 9. Martin Luther King Day holiday means no school Monday.
