Five Safe Income Stocks For Inheritance Income

A-I commend you for picking five strong and safe income stocks. If yield is your major objective these would be satisfactory for your wife. I cannot agree though that they offer inflation protection. New York State Electric is a good stock but like other utilities it competes with bonds for the conservative dollar. If you are patient this would be my favored stock in your group for income and future long term growth. Jersey Standard sells below its best levels of 1957 and Anaconda Big Steel and Reynolds Tobacco have made no real price progress for year. I suggest you substitute for these last three Talon a stock of lower yield which has established a fine record and is just beginning to get favorable recognition. Skil Corp Del Monte Stewart Warner.
