CEI faces bond rating risk if rate hike is cut
CEI may see its bond rating slip if the Ohio PUCO staff cuts its requested increase from 231 million to between 55 and 73 million. Spokesman J Lee Bailey argues the utility is healthy but warned a downgrade would raise borrowing costs for customers. The PUCO will hear testimony before deciding the final increase and staff proposed about 90 million for Perry nuclear plant O&M.
