Oberlin pair face murder charges in Cleveland stabbing case
Lydia Nord and Clifton Robinson of Oberlin are indicted on aggravated murder murder and felonious assault for the Oct 17 stabbing death of Kevin Ghee outside Earth Night Club in Cleveland. Robinson identified as principal offender. Nord also charged with obstructing justice. Both were arrested hours after the incident. Nord free on 500000 bond while Robinson remains jailed.

Elderly Couple in Rollover Hurt on Route 2
An elderly Lorain couple, Carl Fischer and Irene Fischer, were injured in a one car rollover on state Route 2 near Baumhart Road. Carl remained in MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland in good condition, Irene was discharged after Life Flight and hospital transport. A Carlisle Township home at 223 Oakwood St erupted in fire fronting the event, forcing three adults and two children to evacuate and leaving the house uninhabitable with Red Cross aid offered.

Elyria cleaner seeks repayment from Allcare Dental
Carlson Service Co. sues Allcare Dental & Denture Centers in Cuyahoga County Court for 91469 dollars. The Elyria firm supplied cleaning to 17 Allcare centers in Ohio and 50 plus outlets in eight states since 2005 and faced a sudden loss when Allcare shut down. Robert and Jayne Carlson say they tried to negotiate but were left unpaid.

Strongsville man gets six months for fatal crash
A Strongsville man was sentenced to six months in jail for aggravated vehicular homicide in the crash that killed 51 year old Jonathan Williams of Lorain. He will serve 45 days with the remainder suspended. Williams had prior vehicular homicide related to a 2003 case.

Ex-Employee Pleads Guilty in Dog Pound Bribery Case
David Partin Jr., 28, a former Lorain County Dog Pound worker, admitted bribery for taking 200 from an Oberlin woman to rig a dog adoption lottery. Surveillance showed him tampering with lottery tickets for a March 26 2009 Chihuahua adoption. He faces one year probation after plea deal.
