Secrets of World War I tunnels revealed at Pittsfield talk
Pittsfield Township Historical Society hosts Durand Group member Don Darmos Jan. 14 after a 7 p.m. meeting to discuss buried Western Front tunnels in France and near the Germany border. The group, made of retired soldiers and volunteers, has so far uncovered seven tunnels and aims to reopen them for historical tours.

Lorain County JVS American Civics students designed and built a rear landing and 20 foot ramp at Blessing House in Sheffield Township. Volunteers removed old stairs and installed the new structure, while also assisting with landscape work and holiday donations.
