Three men held to grand jury for drug charges
Elyria Municipal Court ordered three men held for grand jury Wednesday. Larry Readlinger, 27, facing aggravated drug trafficking for LSD found after a traffic stop at Gulf Road and East Bridge Street, bond set at 7500 cash. Readlinger also had DUI, reckless operation, and driving suspensions transferred. Christopher Rhodes, 21, Fourth Street, and Michael Findon, 22, 1951 Fowl Road Apt B-7, charged with cocaine possession. both free on 6000 bonds.

Retiring welfare workers honored at Lorain reception
Friends and co workers of two Lorain County Welfare Department employees attended a retirement party in the Lorain County Commissioners hearing room. Frances Ashley 21 years with the department and Robert Canan eight years were honored. Welfare Director Gerard Prinz praised their service and retirement. Ashley supervised Medicaid and began as a caseworker for the disabled blind and dependent children later becoming a supervisor. Before the welfare department she was a secretary with the Cleveland Board of Education. She has an education degree with a sociology minor and ends 23 years in public service. Canan joined after retiring as an engineer for United States Steel.

Wood is jailed in lieu of a 2500 cash bond. Corp and was in charge of Welfare s WIN program a job training and employment service CANAN EXPLAINED that he is retiring so that he can spend more time at home. County Commissioner President Alan Zaleski expressed appreciation on behalf of the county for their years of service.
