In Columbus a hearing on the Rhodes administration redistricting plan drew widespread opposition from Ohio lawmakers and witnesses. CORE representative Frank Anderson warned of “another revolution” if Cleveland cannot elect a Negro member, while opponents argued the plan ignores county boundaries and creates “lost people” by mixing counties.
