Thoughts on public figures and art in a wandering column
A meandering New York diary notes tako insults and curiosities about Gish mils tax bills, film figures like Mervyn Le Roy and Eddie Duchin, cartoonists like John T McCutcheon and Charles Dana Gibson, and literary echoes. It skims art, places, and people from Paris to Fifth Avenue, with vivid, era-specific color.
