Oberlin city council approved a second reading of a dog leash ordinance by a 5 to 2 vote. The measure requires dogs to be leashed off private property with control including voice command and could fine owners at least eight dollars after notice. Unidentifiable dogs may be seized and taken to the Lorain County pound.
Lorain announces beginner and advanced swimming classes for adults at the Lorain Aquatic Center located at 760 Tower Blvd. Classes run Mondays from 8 to 9 p.m. for 10 weeks with a registration fee of 15 dollars. Contact the Aquatic Center to register.
