Driving Lesson Ends In Crash With Train Near Elyria
A driving lesson ended badly when Lula Mae Roseboro 24 of 103 West Street crashed a 1951 car into a diesel freight train on Murray Ridge Road one and a half miles south of Route 13. The collision derailed two train cars and injured Roseboro who was hospitalized with a forehead wound requiring 30 stitches. Her teacher Henry Henderson 30 of 233 Woodford Avenue sustained facial lacerations and possible cheek and jaw fracture with 42 stitches reported. Henderson told deputies Roseboro confused the brake with the accelerator during approach to the crossing.
