Community marked by King Day events across Lorain County
Lorain area honors Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr with a series of events from Jan 12 to Jan 21. Activities include the 36th annual Up to Business King Event at LCCC, make it take it crafts in Elyria libraries, the MLK Festival at Lorain Domonicas Branch, NORDA Youth King Celebration, NAACP King Celebration, a commemorative walk to Elyria High School, the MLK Day celebration at Elyria High, a soul food dinner at Marcel Hall, and a juried public forum. Community groups FCNI, Interfaith Ministries, and the Lorain Public Library System organize performances, readings, and educational activities.
