Washington forecasts show farm income will reach an all time high around 21.5 billion dollars in October as prices hold near peak levels into early 1946. Meat and dairy demand remain strong with prices near 1945 levels, while feed grain costs stay elevated and wheat and potato prospects brighten for the coming months.

Mathew Yoohan Wells was arrested under suspicion and fined $50 and costs. Leonard Hastings and Paulie Sales were listed in relation to the incident as well. Mayor AR Agate noted the plea as innocent.
The Robert Whites, a young Kent couple, now reside in Ohio's governor's mansion as guests during a housing shortage. Gov. Fire alarms in Elyria yesterday totaled four calls. Firemen responded to a drying pan incident at 15 Fifteenth Street, with the oven causing the blaze and minor damage. A second fire at 28 p.m. involved an automobile at 15 Longford Avenue, causing windshield discoloration and insulation damage.
General Douglas MacArthur voiced opposition to divided American Soviet control of Korea in his first report as supreme commander, warning that dual control brings consequences and noting Korean concerns. He cautioned against mass Japanese deportations and urged deportations only for specialists needed to run reparation labor projects.

Four defendants bound to the grand jury on grand larceny charges for allegedly stealing furnishings worth 3400 from a vacant dwelling at 304 Pasadena Avenue owned by George Smith. Arraigned before Mayor A R Agate, Elwin Dekker Frank Cebula Ilia Cebula and Albert Franz held on 500 bond each. Franz and Mrs Cebula released, others to be arranged. Police noted furnishings and a violin valued at 300 were taken from the property, but the violin is not charged. Mrs Smith reported the break in three weeks prior.
Hollywood decorum failed as six masked robbers painted a machine gun on actress Betty Grable during a New Year's Eve heist totaling about Dawn 74,000. Police had a 48hour head start and celebrities were named as allegedly aware of the incident.
In Wiltshire England six residents of Cadley in Savernake Forest refused evacuation orders as an ammunition train burned yesterday afternoon. Two loaded cars exploded, killing one soldier and injuring four others. ten missing. Flames ignited seven more fully loaded cars. No American soldiers were involved.

The Court of Appeals affirmed a decree of the Common Pleas Judge Guy B. Findlay in the case of Ruth and R. W. McClennahan versus William Long. The dispute centered on the removal of an airplane hangar and other buildings from Mille Airport property. The appellate court upheld the decree but limited the removal restrictions to the southern side of the property.
Police searched mountains and canyons along the road to Lake Arrowhead for clues to the identity of a young woman whose head and hands are missing. Her body, with two .48 calibre bullet wounds in the chest, was found in a ravine near the busy mountain road and near the Navy convalescent hospital at Arrowhead Springs.

Attendants Miss Helen Bates Elyria and Mike Nagy Lorain greeted guests as cake was cut. Bride wore pastree length white wool aqua trim. groom is son of Mr and Mrs Mike Nagy Lorain and works at Marks Dry Cleaners. The newlyweds will reside in Avon.
Grand Rapids police issued a warrant charging Rev. Frank Siple of South Lawn Park Church of God with attempted murder for beating elder Lyle Noah with a lead pipe during a dispute over church administration. Siple was found unconscious at home and taken to a hospital under guard.
Officers who will head the Tor ain County Senior Four-4 Club during the coming year were installed at the club's meeting last night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herold Krueck in Huntington Township. The 1948 officers are Robert Fitch Avon president Doris Kolbe Amherst vice president Ida McConnell Pittsfield secretary and treasurer Don Breyley Pittsfield recreation leader Lois Kruck Huntington and Kenneth Spiegelberg Amherst executive board members Ralph Krutek Huntington member of the Four-H Council. The executive board will meet January 1 to plan the 1946 program.
Neal Dunstan formerly of 126 Cornell Avenue is honorably discharged from the Navy and returns to Elyria Savings and Trust Company as a commercial teller. He originally joined the bank May 9, 1830, rose to teller before his Navy service, and served 22 months aboard the aircraft carrier Cowpens including time in the battle area near Tokyo Bay. He was discharged from the Navy October 25. Chile plans to spend 99,000,000 on airport improvements.
