Lorain County Vietnam War Casualty Roll Grows

The Lorain County honor list tallies 27 new war casualties from 1965 to last night with Elyria five, Sheffield Lake four, North Ridgeville one, and others in Columbia Grafton North Eaton South Amherst and Amherst. Of 46 county soldiers, 40 served in the Army 32 in the Marines two in the Air Force and one in the Navy. The list, printed today on page A, marks a somber new year as names hardest hit by the Vietnam conflict are remembered.

Chronicle Telegram Raises Weekly and Sunday Newsstand Price

Effective Sunday January 4 1970 the weekly price of the Chronicle Telegram will be 75 per week. The Sunday edition remains at 15. This price adjustment follows a $4 per ton rise in news print on January 1 and earlier print cost absorption by the Chronicle Telegram. Carriers and motor route drivers will share in the increase.
