Low turnout at Eaton Estates flood meeting spurs next session

In Eaton Township, fewer than 20 residents attended a session on 20 plus years of flood woes in the 471-home Eaton Estates. Trustees noted uncertain water flows, nonpermanent easements, questionable drainage maps, and blamed the defunct developer along with LG and district firms. A March 13 meeting was scheduled to push priority attention to drainage, park upgrades, and local programs.

Political advisors map Lorain County Democrat careers

Elyria’s Victor F Stewart notes Thursday as House Speaker Vernal Riffe plans another term and stays in a crowded Democratic gubernatorial field. He cites many candidates for governor and discusses congressional district boundary delays and filing deadlines. Stewart also mentions Joe Vasi switching to the Democrats and outlines open races for state and county seats with party nonendorsement tendencies. Celeste rebuts Reagan letter urging GOP funds, calling for job programs and criticizing defense budget amid unemployment worries.
