Battle for Hill 31 intensifies in Laos and nearby bases
Fierce fighting raged around Hill 31 and two other South Vietnamese bases along the Ho Chi Minh trail in Laos with heavy clashes also reported in Cambodia. Airmens Safe After Harrowing Laos Rescue Near DaNang
U S Air Force pilots Capt David R Hedditch and 1st Lt Thomas H McLaughlin were shot down near Hill 31 in Laos and spent about 22 hours in jungle before a helicopter recovered them at DaNang South Vietnam airbase. Lawmen target ten secret Lorain indictments in drug raid case
