Building Group Factions File Statement After Deadlock

A county building commission deadlock leads to an agreed statement of facts to be filed with Judge W B Thompson ahead of next Saturday's hearing. Four appointees filed mandamus against County Auditor Monroe H Welty over bid delays for a nurses home at the tuberculosis sanitarium, estimated at 20000 dollars. The dispute centers on whether ex officio county commissioners as trustees can block the building commission's actions. Rhoads and Peebles blocked bids, while Prosecutor Don Myers noted legal ambiguity requiring court ruling. Welty refused to advertise for bids without trustees endorsement.
