The Jungle Exhibit at Lorain County Metro Parks
The Jungle exhibit opens January 30 at French Creek Reservation Nature Center in Sheffield with 30 live reptiles and birds, ruins and a suspension bridge. A $1 entry fee applies to the jungle, free for Nature Center, open daily 10 am to 6 pm except Thursdays 10 am to 9 pm. Visitors can walk trails linked to Big Woods and Pine Tree areas. dogs on leash welcome. maps and accessibility signs available.

Slavic business links grow at Lorain conference
More than 200 people gathered in Lorain for a one day National Slavic and East European Heritage and Resource Center conference at Spitzer Plaza Hotel. Organizers Kalbouss and Rulli spoke of building ties with Eastern Europe and a possible temporary home at Lorain County Community College. Dancers from the Tatra Highlanders Polish Folk Dancers of Lorain closed the event with Polish folk dances. Flowers and decorations from local graves must be retrieved by March 16 or they will be removed from Brookdale North Murray Ridge and Ridgelawn cemeteries. call 822-3896 for information.
