Pope John Paul II completes Asia tour with Anchorage mass
The pope ends a 12 day peace pilgrimage in Asia by flying to Anchorage for a cold mass at a former frontier airstrip after Nagasaki and before Rome. He travels 6000 miles to reach the United States, the only nation visited twice since his election, and meets clergy and handicapped groups, urging peace and nuclear restraint.
