Infant Died From Suffocation in Alabama Apartment

Elyria Girl Hits Car In City Traffic Accident
Jeann Gawlick five year old daughter of Deputy Sheriff Edward Gawlick of 130 Winckles street was slightly injured this noon when she ran into the side of a car driven by Mrs Walter Boals of 281 Marseilles avenue. The child sustained abrasions to the forehead legs and arms and was taken to Elyria Memorial hospital. Mrs Boals said the girl ran out from behind a cat on Ohio street in front of Ely school, where she attends kindergarten.

Contract Awarded For New Bridge On Route 76
County commissioners awarded a contract to The American Bridge Co., Cambridge, for 87 920 to build a new bridge on Route 76 four miles south of Route 254, with bids not taken. Preparations underway to award another contract for a Foster road bridge in Penfield township at about 5 925. Foster road bridge is in dangerous condition and currently closed to trucks. Both projects were submitted as emergency measures.
