Life sentence with parole option for man convicted of child rape
Wellington man Edward Born Jr., 30, was sentenced by Judge Chris Cook in Elyria Lorain County Common Pleas to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years for raping a child under 13. He also received five year terms on three other gross sexual imposition counts, to run consecutively. Born will be registered as a Tier III sex offender for life with quarterly address updates if released.
