Elyria Faces Budget Woes Despite High Cash Balance
Elyria officials warn that without cuts the city may face budget trouble as payroll growth shifts costs back to the general fund. Finance Director Ted Pileski says beginning cash could drop by about two thirds, from roughly 16 million to 5 or 6 million, even as 2025 sees 36 million in general fund tax revenue and a 45.96 million budget. Victim recalls 2024 stabbing as son ferries hero act
Holly Hall told Lorain County Common Pleas Court how her former boyfriend Shawn Poe stabbed her nearly a dozen times on April 23, 2024, inside a Columbia Township home. Her son Owen Hall tackled Poe, aiding deputies who arrested him as the knife remained stuck in her head and she suffered facial nerve damage. Judge allows withdrawal from Ohio 4 murder case motions
