Casey the guide dog helps cerebral palsy boy steady stride
Brad Hall, a 16 year old with cerebral palsy from Marion Ohio, now works with Casey a short haired collie trained as a guide dog. Casey assists Brad by steadying him during falls and helps retrieve items open doors and operate lights. The program began with MARCA officials and local donors including a steel firm and the Maxwells who funded and trained Casey. The dog began living with Brad last December and attendance and mobility improved as Casey settled into school life.

In Lorain a 14 year old was robbed of a case of beer Sunday evening after a man in a blue Lincoln Continental pulled up and pointed a gun demanding the beer. The youth had just bought it and was walking home on West 20th Street. Police are investigating the robbery and the purchase, per a detective.
