Kiser defends Avon's street and fire spending
Avon Finance Director George Kiser defended spending as conservative and said the deficit has fallen from about 25,000 to 15,000. He praised city officials and noted reports on budget allocations. Councilman Zilka argued funds from the Fire Construction Fund and Tire Equipment Fund have been diverted to other items, leaving the street maintenance fund short. The fire fund carries a 75,000 five year levy and weather delays.
