Ter Renes Wf. Cannon, 38, who escaped from an Ohio penal farm 15 years ago, was held as a fugitive in Pittsburgh. He said his crime was petty robbery in Akron 18 years ago, under the alias James J. McCann, and that he fled after three years. Cannon had worked at several plants, married with two daughters, and held a foreman and patrolman career before his arrest.

Motion Picture Writer Found Shot To Death
Palm Springs Calif Feb 2 Humphrey W Pearson prominent motion picture writer was found shot to death in his home early today. Riverside county coroner Ben White said suicide and murder are theories. Pearson’s widow, shocked, was taken to the county hospital. A butler reported the case to police after finding Mrs Pearson crying. Pearson’s body was found in the next room with a chest wound. He had lived seven years in Palm Springs and his last Hollywood work was an adaptation of Rugles of Red Gap.

250 Teachers At Social Meeting At Grafton School

Child Swallows a Wheel in Bellefontaine
In Bellefontaine Ohio on February 25 Jane Dre, year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Dye, swallowed an inch in diameter brass wheel with six flanges that became lodged in her throat. While shopping with her mother the wheel slipped from her grip and dropped into her mouth. A physician retrieved the object and the child recovered.

Clerical Worker Appointed by Judge Nye in County Board
Judge Horace H. Nye appointed Adelaide Cooper of Lorain as a clerical worker to assist in the county board of public assistance now three employees strong.
