In St Paul Minnesota two officers were shot and killed by gunmen who roamed St Anthony Hill in a night of terror. A thousand police and deputies hunted the gunmen who looted homes and ripped jewels from residents while fleeing in an automobile. The dead were Patrolman John Schultz and Patrolman Fred A Poitsech. Fifteen gang members were jailed within two hours after the shooting.
