Lake Erie anglers demand bigger share in catch
Port Clinton fishers Jim Van Hoose and Lee Stinson urge the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to redivide Lake Erie limits between commercial and sport fishermen. Officials say sport anglers fund the fishery, with commercial gains limited by current allocations and fuel costs. The division scouts relief for netters, considering a smaller catfish size limit and new markets for low value species as the commercial fishery wanes.
