Boy buried in snow survives big Michigan slide

Danny Culp 11 of Traverse City was buried under six feet of snow for about 90 minutes while 11 sixth graders hikers at Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore watched a ridge collapse. He was rescued by a Coast Guard helicopter, treated, and released home with his father credited for keeping him calm.

Runaway youth killed in fog on Ohio Turnpike

A 17 year old runaway, Charles C Krueger of Rainbow Runaway Youth Shelter Cleveland, was struck and killed by a hit skip vehicle in dense fog on the Ohio Turnpike east of Strongsville around 12:35 am. No witnesses due to fog. investigation ongoing. Airports in Cleveland were also affected by the fog with travel delays overnight.
