A. T. Lagron of Lorain is named state highway engineer for Lorain County by state highway director O. A. Merrill. The appointment, effective February 16, aims to ease the county engineer’s state duties. Lorain is the eighth largest county to adopt the new system. Second Arrest in Gas Station Holdups
Police report the second of the trio in two robberies, Charles McDonald aged 16 of West Third Street, was arrested after a tip led to Clarksville. McDonald confessed to both robberies involving Eddie Thompson at Old Mill station on Sunday and Jack Ambrose at Lodi Street Saturday, with the third suspect still at large awaiting arrest. Authorities placed McDonald with juvenile officials today.

Bond Forfeiture Costs Ordered for Pagorez
Mrs. Mary Gertrude Pagorez of Lorain was ordered to pay the court costs as penalty in a bond forfeiture hearing before Judge A R Webber. She stood as surety for Frank Schneider, also of Lorain, arrested by State Agent George Baynham last September on a liquor possession charge. Bond stood at 5000 dollars. Schneider vanished from the courthouse on the day his arraignment.

State Bridges and Culverts to Receive Numbers in 1931
