Western Reserve Toy Show to feature toys and food in Wakeman
The 10th Annual Western Reserve Toy Show runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 1 at Western Reserve School near Wakeman with farm and construction toys, die cast cars, NASCAR items, wood toys, signs and equipment. FFA vendors sell lunch. door prizes donated by local businesses. Boy Scout Troop 242 serves a pancake breakfast at Townsend Town Hall 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.. proceeds fund scholarships and community activities. For tables call Rich Ruess or Steve Zimmerman.

Former Columbia bus driver drops suit over firing
Lauri Sawyer 40, who sued Columbia Schools to return to work after a background check law, has dropped the suit with plans to refile. Attorney Kenneth Meyers says they will refight later and monitor a similar federal case. The district fired her after a 1987 Medina County conviction for unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance.
